The Cub Scout program is designed to prepare boys and girls from Kindergarten through 5th grades to join the Scouts BSA Program (formerly known as Boy Scouts) The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the Scout Oath and Law.
Every Cub Scout Pack consists of multiple Dens. Each Den will meet 1-3 times a month and work on different age appropriate “Adventures” throughout the year. When they complete all of the adventures they will earn the rank badge for that year and advance to the next rank of the program.
In addition, we also plan fun field trips and activities throughout the year and plan exciting activities such as the Pinewood Derby, Soapbox Derby, and hiking and camping adventures, walking in the annual El Segundo Holiday Parade, and much more!
Parent help and participation are what makes our programs and activities possible. Of course we all have busy lives but even the smallest amount of help can make a big difference. There are all sorts of ways to help out from helping to plan a day hike to taking on a leadership position with the Pack.
